Our mealworms have arrived!! We used our magnifying lens to observe the mealworm's body and what it does.

We celebrated the 100th day of school and Valentine's Day. We figured out ways to make 100 and wrote about what we would do with $100. The Valentine's party was alot of fun!!  We decorated cookies, made friendship bracelets, decorated glasses, and made some slime! Thank you Mrs. Mueller for organizing and leading the party. Thank you Mrs. Wanasek for volunteering to come in to help with the party. Also, thank you to everyone else that sent something in to help with the party!

Students really enjoyed making their own hot chocolate at the holiday party on Dec. 22! It was delicious!!

We had a wonderful time at our Halloween party!! We played Cookie Face, Mummy Time,  Candy Corn Stand, and Bingo. We also got to eat and drink lots of yummy treats. Thank you to all the parents that were able to help with the party, whether it was coming in for the party or sending in treats or juice! A big thank you to Mrs. Mueller for being the party planner and organizing all the games/activities!

Mr. Jacobson turned into Frankenstein!! What happened to him? Read your child's writing in the hallway to find out.

Our field trip to Glacier Rock Farm. First, we had a blast going on the wagon ride. Then we got to have a pony ride. Next, we were introduced to some of the horses. After that, a bunny, chinchilla, and hedgehog are some of the small animals we got to see/touch. After lunch, we got to catch chickens. Then we fed some sheep, goats,  rams, and llamas. We had a little extra time at the end to go through the maze and go down the 40-foot slide. Finally, we were able to grab a pumpkin. What an exciting day!!

This week is Blind Americans Equality week. Students used M&M's to make their first initial in Braille on a cookie. YUM!!

Groups of students needed to work together to use our solid objects to construct a bridge.

In Science, we have been learning about solid objects and their properties. We used a variety of solid objects to construct a tower with a wide base and was sturdy!

Pictures from our first week of school!

We listened to the story The Dot. Then we made our own dots and then we used our imaginations to see what we could create from our dots.

Students are playing some math games and doing some morning work.
