It was so nice meeting and getting to know your child today! The kids did an amazing job even with how hot it was in our building. We did some community building acitivities by getting to know each other, read First Day Jitters and illustrated and wrote about how we felt, enjoyed a nice cold treat in the afternoon.Â
On Fridays, we get to read a book with all the lights off and we use a flashlight to read!
One of our rewards for earning so much money for the Fun Run was to have a Game Day! All the second graders went into the cafetorium to play board or card games with whomever they wanted.
We have 8th grade buddies this year! We walked over to KMS to meet our buddies. We played bingo, did an art activity, got interviewed so my 8th grade buddy can make a book, and decorated a cookie.
It was a beautiful day for our field trip to Glacier Rock! We got to see and pet some small mammals, chase and hold chickens, pet and ride a horse, feed some goats and sheep, and go on a tractor ride. What an exciting time!!
