Best Buddies End of the Year Celebration was April 30, 2018. Everyone watched a demonstration from Cake and Bake to learn how to decorate a cake. Then we had fun decorating our own cake. Finally, we enjoyed the beautiful day outside playing games with friends.
Thursday, April 26th 2018 was Best Buddies Germantown's Spread the Word to End the Word Day during Words Hurt Words Heal week.
Best Buddies Lexi and Emily read an announcement for the school promoting Best Buddies message of acceptance and inclusion for everyone and asked students to sign a pledge during their lunch to use respectful people first language. Students decorated the lunchroom and signed the pledge.

DeStress Germantown - January 22, 2018. We had fun with friends learning how to reduce stress with a therapy dog, coloring, a movie and making cards for senior citizens.

Best Buddies Global Volunteer Training - October 17, 2017
Our Germantown Chapter President, Emily, led the Best Buddies Global Volunteer Training for our Peer Buddies to share the Best Buddies global mission to spread acceptance and inclusion. Best Buddies International is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
