Need Help with your Lesson Plan Template?
Try using these tools to get you started. It won't be perfect but it will help start the process and that should work with even the free version of ChatGPT or your AI platform. Either way you will still have to check it and make sure that if fits what you are teaching.
Notes:
If your Curriculum at a Glance uses the standard numbers and not an explanation you will want to attach a copy of the standards or your National Standards on your website page for the course.
Also attach a copy of the lesson plan template.
Make sure to change the board font in the prompt to your pathway
Prompt:
I need you to plan like a high school Computer Science Teacher and create 19 days of lesson plans using the attached lesson plan template for Unit 1. For the Work session teachers will be using the Amazon Web Services platform for the modules and practice (if applicable with another platform i.e. NHA, ICEV, etc.). For the closing sections make sure to give formative suggestions as well. Make sure to consider differentiation strategies for remediation and acceleration. You can add the traditional Read Aloud and extended time as allowed by IEP or 504 but also make sure to add in strategies for remediation and acceleration. Make sure to have some basic vocab for the unit listed throughout along with strategies for how to learn them. Make sure to consider the resources section - what is the backup if tech fails? Make sure that every lesson has all required plan components with full detail ( bell ringer, learning target, mini-lesson/opening, work session with platform resource, guided/independent practice, vocab + learning strategy, differentiation with remediation/acceleration/IEP–504, formative checks, closure, homework/extension, resources, and a concrete tech backup). These are the standards and information that would go into the lesson plan template and I attached a copy of the standards(if necessary): (Copy and paste from From the Curriculum At A Glance)
If you have the handouts from ICEV, CTAERN or another platform you could use this prompt instead:
I need you to be the teacher today and I need you to use the pacing guide for the course and the Instructional guide (lesson plan) that are attached. Take out the teacher name. Use the logo and exact format. I need you to incorporate that information into the district lesson plan template and make sure that each component is in the appropriate box. Make sure that all fields are filled, with the days and headers are at the top and if you have some additional suggestions feel free to add those in with links to sites. I need 3 days worth of lessons and they need to be in that lesson plan template inside a google doc.
