Covering of pits and then planting trees in them is our weekly activity. Our cleanliness campaign is regular activity for us. The green and clean surroundings inspire us and keep us healthy.
Discarded out things are utilized in making beautiful pieces of art. Old newspaper, plastic cups, CDs and plastic bottles are recycled this way. In SUPW period we are assigned works of beautification of campus.
As we live in hostels, weekly cleanliness is carried out by us. Weeds are removed and all rubbish thrown into bins. Biodegradable and non-biodegradable items are kept separately.
We have keen interest in cleanliness of our campus and we have sown flowers' seeds in pots for beautification of our campus. A clean and green campus energizes us and we feel happy amid such lush surroundings.
We water the plants by turn and each of us has been assigned weekly duty to remove weeds and sprinkle water in our lawn. We feel happy to be a part of this noble task. We can never repay the debt of Mother Earth.
Education is not just about what is taught in the books, it is working towards future. Students imbibed this message as they participated in Shuchi Yamuna Project. They went to Sonia Vihar Ghat, on October 1 and cleaned the dirt and squalor of plastic waste lying in the ghat.
We observed ‘Van Mahotsav’ by organizing Tree plantation drive in association with TATA Power where students of Eco club planted 200 saplings in and around the school campus. They also pledged to take care of these plants.
Our students also participated in a massive tree plantation drive on 16th August at DDA Green Area Sector-37 Rohini. The event was organized by Indraprastha School Sahodaya. The drive promoted the spirit of environment conservation.
Young Eco Crusaders carried out Bin making activity in November. These bins made out of waste material drove home the message of reduce, reuse and recycle.
