Google Drawings are a great way for students to organize, sort or classify information. With Google Drawings you can create and manipulate text boxes, shapes, lines and connectors as well as add images. You can create Google Drawings from your Google Drive. Google Drawings work on Chromebooks and laptops but are currently not compatible with iPads.
Check out these pre-made templates from Ditch That Textbook.
Students in Division 2 may begin to create their own Google Drawings as well as add to pre-made templates.
Example: Endangered Animal Trading Card from Amanda Siad.
In Division 3 & 4 students will both create their own Google Drawings as well as use pre-made templates.
Google Drawings could be used to label diagrams in Science or create timelines and concept maps in Social.
Example from a student in Grade 7 Science. Thanks to Jen Heschuk for sharing.
