The duties and responsibilities have been discharged to Internal Audit Division of the University of Peradeniya as follows:

• To review in the system of internal controls on the operations; Finance, Academic and NonAcademic administrations of the University of Peradeniya and PGIs. It carries out continuous survey and independent appraisal of such operations and soundness and adequacy of the internal checks adopted in the prevention and detection of errors and frauds.
