* The following example of the Google  Workspace service application for Windows-based systems, if needed other instructions for mobile devices, please comprehend this example.

** According to the latest storage policy announced by Google on February 17, 2021, the unlimited space will be changed into providing only 100 TB of pooled cloud storage space for each university and shared across all of the users from July 2022.

***Please reduce the used space of Google Workspace account to below 5G by the end of November, 2022. For details, please refer to the announcement. 

Step 1.  Open the web browser and confirm by the link to check whether you have logged into Google account. Please click 'Sign out' if a similar page appears as shown below.

Step 2. Your Google account has been successfully signed out if the below login page showed. 

Please click the link to '@NCKU Alumni Network' to activate your Google Workspace account. 

Step 3. Fill in your Student ID/password to log into '@NCKU Alumni Network'.

* If you are logging in for the first time, please follow the Instruction to enter the default password.

** If you can't log in or forgot your password, please contact Alumni Association Center.

Step 3-1. If the following screen does not appear, please refer to Step 4..

Step 3-2. Please press 'Ctrl-Shift-Delete', and click 'Clear data'.

* After completion, please go back to Step 3.; if you still cannot open the webpage smoothly, please press 'Ctrl-Shift-N' to turn on the incognito mode, and then execute Step 3.

Step 4. If you are not logging in for the first time, please refer to Step 5.

If you are logging in for the first time, please change your default password and enter your main email account ( It will be used in the following step, please enter correctly ).

Step 5. Click 'Function Menu' which is in the upper right corner and choose 'Apply G Suite'

Step 6. Check your 'phone number, cellphone number, email address, mailing address, permanent address'( It will be used in the following step, please enter correctly ).

Step 7. Click 'Apply G Suite' after you check the information, and the website will be redirected to the 'Cheng-Kung Portal' and show the login page. 

Step 8. If you remember your account ( The first letter of your student ID should be in capital letters  ) / password for the Cheng-Kung Portal, enter it and go to Step 13.

If you can't log in successfully, click 'forgot password' to the process of changing the password.

Step 9. Please only enter your 'Student ID', and click 'Reset password' below. 

Step 10. The page will show 'Password Reset Notification' has been sent to your specific personal email. 

* If there's a link in your 'Password Reset Notification', please go to Step 11.

If there's a new password in your 'Password Reset Notification', please go to Step 12.

 ** If you didn't receive the 'Password Reset Notification', please consider re-entering your student ID or return to '@NCKU Alumni Network' and change your other private email according to Step 6.

Step 11. You will receive a mail similar to the following picture after successfully applying the 'get a new password' of the Cheng-Kung Portal. Please click the link in the mail. 

Step 11-1. The website will display the following page. Please click 'login'. 

Step 11-2. Enter your new password twice. (The new password should meet the strength rule) and click 'Save'. Please refer to Step 13 for the next steps.

Step 12. Enter your Student ID ( The first letter of your student ID should be lowercase ) and new password from the mail to log in Cheng Kung portal .

Step 13. Click 'G Suite for NCKU' icon after logging in to the Cheng-Kung Portal. 

*If you didn't see this page, check out the function on your left side 'Service Category / Student Area / Student Common Use / G Suite for NCKU'.

Step 14. Please read the Agreement and by checking the box “I have read and agree to the ‘Terms of NCKU G Suite for Education Service’ ” and then click 'Agree and Send'

Step 15. Your account is being created and connected to the Google Workspace system, please be patient. Once successful, the screen will display the following picture. (The screen will show your 'login account' and 'first login password'

* If you do not see the screen below it means the Google Workspace system is busy,. Please try it later as the service is 24H available. 

** If the below screen showed without a red password, please close the browser and log in to your Cheng-Kung Portal account again, and click 'G Suite for NCKU' icon.

*** Alumni account defaults to your student ID, and it's not available to set a custom account or alias.

Step 16. Open the new tabs in your browser and click the link, a login page similar to the following will appear.

(If the login screen is not displayed, please refer to Step 1, click 'Sign out' and then continue the following steps. )

Click 'Use another account' to access with a new Google Workspace account.

Step 17. Key-in the new Google Workspace account.  ( e.g. )

Step 18. Key in the default password. (Please refer to the password red password shown in Step 15. )

Step 19. Click 'Accept', if you agree to the 'Google terms of service'.

Step 20. For the first login, Google will force a new password to be generated.

* Since the new password will store in Google and cannot be assessed and encrypted by NCKU, we suggest you set up a different password from 'Cheng-Kung Portal and @NCKU Alumni Network' for the security reasons.

Step 21. Click 'Update' to set up the 'Backup phone number' and 'Backup email'.

* We suggest you to set up at lease one of the two backup information for rescuing your account when being hacked or forgetting your password. 

** You can also refer to 'Helps for setting up Recovery Information'.

Step 22. Congratulations !!! Your NCKU Google Workspace account has been successfully created.

* This account will be serviced by Google during the cooperation period with Google LLC. If there are any changes in the future, it will be announce on NCKU home page.

** If you want to use this account to receive emails from another private email account, please refer to 'How to use Gmail to check emails from NCKU email account'

*** The default account is student ID, but the sender display name can be modified by yourself. Please refer to 'How to change sender's name'.
