Research

We make new molecules. The research in our lab is driven by curiosity and we want to know how molecules behave under extreme conditions. Due to the extreme air- and moisture-sensitivity of these molecules, we perform these chemical reactions under an inert atmosphere, for example, N2 and argon. Once we successfully make them, we will use several characterization techniques such as single crystal X-ray crystallography, powder diffraction, electronic absorption spectroscopy, infrared (IR) spectroscopy, SQUID magnetometry, and EPR spectroscopy. Check the publication section for more details.
