Trip Chaperone Information

1. THANK YOU! I appreciate you helping out!

2. Please help with loading and unloading instruments in the luggage area under the bus, once we arrive at our performance location and after we finish performing.The instruments are very sensitive, we will try to pack them tightly in one bay. 

3. We are not seated on the buses by groups, you and the students may sit where you like.  There won’t be any open seats.

4. We will get into groups once we get off the bus at the Boston Museum of Science.  Students should stay with their chaperone at all times in the museum.  If a student needs to use the restroom, have students buddy up so that you can stay with the rest of the group.  Please report any issues to me, text  or call me: 207-318-8447. If a student is being disrespectful, they will join my group. 

Schedule (adjusted):

10:00 am: We will arrive at Methuen Memorial Music Hall, Methuen, MA. We will listen to several other groups before we go back to the buses for instruments.  

12:00: WMS Orchestra on stage to perform. After performing, the orchestra will sit in the audience to watch the band.

12:30: WMS Band on stage to perform. After the judging is finished, everyone will get on the bus, all instruments loaded carefully again.

2:00pm (approx) We will arrive at the Boston Museum of Science.  All students will assemble chaperoned groups and stay with those groups.

3:00pm: We will see “Everest” (45 min. long) in the Omnitheater located in the planetarium wing. Please arrive a few minutes early to get seated.

4:45pm: All students and chaperones return to the buses. Chaperones please take attendance before students get on the bus and report that information to me.

5:00pm: Bus is rolling North. I do realize we may hit some rush hour traffic, we will have to be flexible with time returning home.

Bus will stop at McDonald’s on the way home for dinner.  Students will order their dinner and take it on the bus to eat.

7:30pm (approx) Bus will arrive back at the front of WMS. All instruments need to either be put back in the music room or if students rent/own them, they may go home.
