About the Presentation: Concrete strategies for working with students

Children who have experienced trauma such as abuse, neglect, serious illness, and exposure to violence can exhibit challenging internal (i.e., depression) and external (i.e., acting out) behaviors in the school environment. This presentation will include an introduction to trauma, trauma’s influence on student development, and the likely resulting behaviors.

Applicable to all grade levels and school personnel, this workshop will provide concrete strategies for working with students who have experienced trauma.
