About Mrs. Smith

Hello!  My name is Mrs. Smith and this is my seventh year teaching  at Raymond Elementary School! I grew up in Stratham, New Hampshire and attended the University of New Hampshire. After graduating, I was ready for a new adventure so I moved to Scottsdale, Arizona.

 I began teaching in Arizona in 2009. I have taught kindergarten, first grade, and sixth grade.  While In Arizona, I obtained my Masters Degree in Curriculum and Instruction.

After living in the desert for 13 years, my husband and I decided that we wanted our three kids to have a childhood outside of the city and in a place where they can enjoy the four seasons! We now live in Gorham with our three kids and our  Boston Terrier, Vinny! We absolutely love Maine!  As a family we  enjoy all of the wonderful things New England has to offer including camping, skiing, and going to the lake and ocean. We also enjoy taking care of our chickens! 

Kindergarten is such a special year! I love watching my students grow socially, emotionally, and academically. Teaching is truly my passion and I enjoy each and every moment with my students.
