My name is Katie Falasca (pronounced: Fa-Las-Ka) and I have been a teacher for 8 years. This is my fourth year at Manchester, and I have come to love the community atmosphere in this school.
I knew I wanted to be a teacher when I was five years old so when I graduated high school, I KNEW that I had to go to the University of Maine at Farmington. There I majored in Elementary Education and minored in History. This year, I am finishing my masters degree in Literacy Education at the University of Southern Maine. I will graduate in the spring!
I have a two year old dog named Baxter who makes me laugh on a daily basis. He is a hound shepherd mix with lots of personality. He loves to go on walks, chase anything that moves, and snuggle. I also have two very smart cats named Orion and Apollo. They're 8 years old, but they still have lots of spunk and personality. They also love to snuggle. I'm sure you'll hear about all of the trouble my lovely pets will cause throughout the school year.
