Digital Portfolio

My name is Richey Vickers and I am the Instructional Technology leader at Windham Middle School and Jordan Small Middle School. This is my example of what a digital portfolio should look like. The home page is a student landing page. The student landing page may contain content that the student chooses. Anything that they would like to add that is SCHOOL APPROPRIATE is acceptable. We want students to use this page to show off what they like!

Please notice that the pages have a specific organization.

There are pages for each subject and subpages for each grade level.

This should continue through a students highschool career.

I am from Atlanta, Ga. I love wrestling, airplanes (worked at two different airports), laughing, learning, and my family. I wrestling in HS/college, I have coached for over 20 years and love the sport. I also coached soccer in Ga. where we were state finalst 2 out of the 8 years I had the pleasure to be part of such a great program. (They went back the next two years and won it last year, #soproud)

LIMESTONE WRESTLING KICKS OFF THIS WEEKEND - Limestone College AthleticsGAFFNEY, SC:  The Limestone College wrestling team welcomes members of the community and the media to attend their season opening intra-squad match this Saturday.  The Saints will host a wrestling clinic prior to the match to acclimate the community to the sport.  Spectators are welcome; those interested in participating in the clinic must pre-register by calling Head Coach Ben Stehura at 864-488-8232.  The cost for participating is $10 for students and $5 for coaches.  The clinic is scheduled to begin at 12:00 in Timken Gymnasium with the intra-squad to follow at 2:00 p.m.

I was on the inaugural wrestling team for Limestone College in Gaffney, SC!

I coached wrestling in Georgia for 20 years! I coached for 12 years before I went full time in college and then after I graduated, I came back and coached 8 more before moving to Maine.

High school wrestling: Crop of new coaches highlights Hall County ChampionshipsIt may be easier for fans in attendance if the coaches at the Hall County Championships this weekend wear name tags.Seven of Hall County’s eight high school wrestling programs have new wrestling coaches since last season.Not all of the new coaches in Hall County are new faces. Some are back at their previous school or back at a new school after years away.National Wrestling Hall of Fame inductee and longtime Riverside Military coach Errol Bisso returned to the Eagles this season after a three-year hiatus. The Eagles are back in the GHSA after a run that included five straight Georgia Independent Schools Association state titles.Defending Hall County champion Flowery Branch is the only school that didn’t experience a coaching turnover this year, with Shane Lancaster still in charge.

Host Chestatee sends 8 wrestlers to sectionalsTwo years ago when Carey Whitlow took over as coach, Chestatee had 11 wrestlers in its entire program. After the conclusion of the 8-AAA traditionals at Chestatee High on Saturday, the War Eagles will send eight qualifiers to Friday’s Class AAA North sectionals at Locust Grove High.The War Eagles placed fourth in overall team standings with 166 points, trailing the winner, Oconee County (221), White County (215) and West Hall (181).The War Eagles’ program, now with more than 70 wrestlers, put up the best area traditional finish in school history.Chestatee’s J.W. Gilbert, who finished first in the 112-pound weight class, is a testament to how far the program has come in a short time. The senior picked up the sport just two years ago when Whitlow returned to the program after taking four years off to start a family of four children.Saturday’s meet was the first-ever tournament win for Gilbert.“I never thought I’d be a wrestler,” said Gilbert, who, along with 16 other wrestlers in his weight class, advanced to next weekend’s sectionals.

I attended Limestone College in Gaffney, SC. where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Social Studies Education and a minor in Biology. I then attended Georgia Southern University where I earned my Masters degree in Instructional Technology and Media Specialist certification.
