Philosophy: At Growing Oaks Preschool, we believe every child is precious and made in the image of God. We cherish each child here, and work with them throughout the year to help them grow by teaching biblical virtues such as love, compassion, kindness, service, humility, and respect toward themselves and others. Our hope is that each student begins to understand the character of God and learn to grow in Jesus' immense love for them! It is important to us that each preschooler develops a love of learning while they gain important kindergarten readiness skills. Our learning is hands-on and a lot of fun!

Our Classroom: We are a family in our classroom! We treat each other with the utmost kindness, and work through issues with empathy and understanding. Each preschooler has a class job each day, whether it be the weather helper, calender helper, lights helper, line leader, or paper helper (to name a few)! We take pride in taking care of our classroom and being responsible to take great care of our classroom and be respectful to each other each day.

Curriculum and Learning: We love hands-on learning at Growing Oaks! We get pretty messy at school while we explore in sensory play and creative play-based math and literacy centers. Each month we learn a bible verse, a shape, and a character virtue. Each week we learn a bible story, 2 letters, a color and a number. We also conduct science experiments, learn about animal and plant life cycles, and explore literature, art, language and music. We incorporate My Father's World curriculum which fosters Christ-centered, hands-on learning while promoting cognitive development and reading and math readiness.
