A decades-long mentor of mine believed that most of what is called "new" in the body of knowledge on human behavior is often repackaging of "old truths." This page contains some of the sources of inspiration I've found to be of enduring value.
I've provided topic groupings based on my own impressions. I limited each group to no more than three recommendations.
If it appears a topic is missing (i.e., Public Speaking, Active Listening, etc.) there are two likely reasons. First, it may be that I personally found resources other than books to be more valuable for that topic. Second, that topic may be covered within the material in one or more of the other groupings.
Email me if you have thoughts to share on this list.
