Boxtops for Education

Dear Griswold Middle School Families,
We are thrilled to share that we are reigniting the Box Tops for Education program, and it's now easier than ever to participate! The program has transitioned to an electronic format where you scan receipts or link to your online accounts (Wal-Mart only at this time). No more clipping box tops!
To make this even more exciting, we're offering a chance to win a **$50 Instacart gift card**! Here’s how you can participate and enter the raffle:
**How to Enter:**
For **one entry** into the raffle:
**Download the Box Tops App**: Get the Box Tops for Education app from the App Store or Google Play if you haven't done so already. After downloading the app and before signing in, use this link to apply a referral code which will earn extra points after scanning your first receipt, and will auto-select GMS as the school you support: https://btfe.smart.link/c2jjdifkw?referral_code=II9D9IW8&school_id=11749
**Create an Account**: Follow the app prompts to set up your account (referral code II9D9IW8).
3. **Select Griswold Middle School** as your chosen school to support (if needed).
For **five additional entries** into the raffle:
4. **Link Your Walmart Account**: If you have a Walmart account, link it to your Box Tops account. This will automatically scan your receipts when shopping and paying through the Wal-Mart app and enhance our fundraising efforts with no extra work!
**How to Submit Your Entries for the raffle**:
To enter the raffle, please send us an email at gmspto@griswoldpublicschools.org or text us at 860-705-4887 with:
- A screenshot showing Griswold Middle School as your selected school under “Manage Schools” in the Box Tops app (for one entry).
- A screenshot showing Walmart as “connected” under Connected Accounts in the app (for five additional entries).
You can also visit our table on Exploratory Night on March 4th for assistance in setting up your account or to show us your proof for raffle entries!
- **Raffle Drawing**: The drawing will take place at our next PTO meeting on **March 13th**. You do not need to be present to win!
- Please ensure your proof of account setup and/or Walmart link is submitted by the drawing date to be eligible.
Let’s take this opportunity to raise funds for Griswold Middle School and make a positive impact in our community and start scanning those receipts! Thank you for your ongoing support!
Best regards,
Griswold Middle School PTO

GMS Dinner Theater
Hello, GMS Community!
Our Dinner Theater "Rockin' the Decades!" Shows will be held on March 11th and 12th ! Your music teachers want to take a moment to tell you about the event, and share how YOU can be involved!
Dinner Theater is a GMS Tradition and fundraiser event held in March. For two nights, GMS stars take the stage and entertain the community in singing, dancing, and playing instruments. There is always a musical theme, and this year it is "Rockin the Decades"- where performers will walk the audience through the journey of music over the past seventy years, with songs from the 1950s all the way through the 2020's
Most of the Dinner Theater acts are put on by Select Choir, Jazz band, and a select Dinner Theater string ensemble. But- there are also "featured" numbers which include solos, duos, or small groups of performers. Every GMS student (including those in Jazz and Select) is invited to attend the "Dinner Theater 'Feature Auditions'". These will be held in the GMS Auditorium after school on Thursday, January 16th. Featured Auditionees should prepare 2-3 minutes of a popular song of their choice from any decade between the 1950's and 2020's. Features can be solo, duos, vocals, instrumentals, or both! To audition, sign up for a time slot HERE and comment the name of the song you and your groupmates.
Let Mrs. Shea or Ms. Richmond know if you have any questions. We can't wait for this year's Dinner Theater.
Best wishes,
Mrs. Shea and Ms. Richmond
