Parents of GHS Speech Team

Donations can be made to "GHS Speech Team" and can be delivered to Chris Coffman, Activities Director, at Grinnell High School.

Contest dates and locations can be found by following the tabs above. Large Group is our first season, and then we move into Individual Events later in February. You'll also find links to rehearsal schedules and contest schedules on the tabs above as well. (If you are looking for a Large Group schedule, click on Large Group.)

Expected behaviors at contest:

1. Please do not wear school apparel into contest rooms.

2. Please do not speak to judges--no matter the situation. Talk to the coach first; the coach has access to the appropriate channels.

3. DO NOT FILM OR PHOTOGRAPH ANY PERFORMANCE without specific permission from Executive Director Craig Ihnen. (craig@ihssa.org) If you do so, you will get your students' group disqualified.

4. Celebrate quietly with your student after a performance. Others are still performing. Take all photographs before/after the performance as well.
