Course Outline

The objective of this course is to help you develop the skills, knowledge and ability to successfully transition from school into the world of further education and work, it aims to do this by:

• helping you to identify your strengths and weaknesses, your skills and values, and your dreams and aspirations

• helping you identify and plan your next steps

• supporting you to gain knowledge about the world of work

• supporting you to gain knowledge about independent living

• showing you where to get information needed to help you make the right decisions regarding your next steps

This course offers a range of topics that are linked to the assessment of NZQA registered standards which contribute credits towards NCEA Levels one, two and three. The workbooks and student activities will be made available on Hapara workspaces.
