Course Information Term 3:
Students will continue working through their chosen standards.
The final performance opportunity is on 8/9/26 in the music room at 6pm. Audience members needed.
The final date for all internal standards work is due 25/9/26
As part of this course, students will also learn to read music and develop their ears through listening and symbol recognition weekly exercises.
Term 4 will be available for resit opportunities for any failed standards. These opportunities will follow the NZQA guidelines, with students only able to gain an Achieved grade.
Course Information Term 1:
AS91278 NZ Research 4 credits - Due date: 24/ 4/26 Compulsory Standard (Amended)
Throughout the year, students will select an individual course, gaining credits in any of the following standards: Score Reading, Solo Performance, Solo Performance on a Second Instrument, Group Performance, Composition, Notation Technology and MIDI Technology. All courses are based around gaining a minimum of 12-14 credits. As part of this course, students will also learn to read music and develop their ears through listening and symbol recognition weekly exercises.

The first performance opportunity is 17/6/26 in the music room at 6pm. Audience members needed.
Students will negotiate due dates with Mrs Fleming throughout terms 2 and 3 to complete all parts of their chosen course.
