Description of Practice
I am a general adult psychiatrist. I completed medical school, followed by a four-year adult psychiatric residency, with concentrations in neurology and internal medicine and psychiatry, at an accredited hospital. I provide psychotherapy and medication treatment for adults experiencing problems such as, but not limited to: depression, anxiety, or bipolar disorder.
My psychotherapeutic orientation is cognitive and behavioral, as well as psychodynamic. My general practice approach is to get to know you; let you get to know me; and to listen carefully to your concerns. Then I will share with you the pros and cons of different treatment options. I will work collaboratively with you to find the best treatment approach.
Education, Training and Licensure
Bachelor of Arts in French and Bachelor of Sciences in Biochemistry at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana; Doctor of Medicine, Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis; Psychiatric Residency, University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. I am certified by The American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
I am licensed to practice medicine in Washington and Indiana.
I am currently in-network with the following insurance plans, and have also recently applied to be in-network with Kaiser Permanente.
Premera
Regence
First Choice
Even if you have insurance with one of the insurances that I accept, you should still contact your insurance carrier to verify that your services will be covered, since big insurance carriers have a variety of different plans.
If you are not insured through one of the companies that I accept then you will need to pay out-of-pocket. I will provide a statement that you can submit to your insurance carrier who may reimburse you at out-of-network rates.
*Patients paying directly out of pocket (without insurance) will receive 20% off the following rates.
Initial Consultation 60-75min $325
If the initial consultation runs over 75min, either in direct face-to-face time or if I end up spending additional time (on the day of the appointment) on business related to the appointment (for example, collecting additional information from family or other providers), then I charge $75 for each additional 15min spent
Fees for followup visits vary, depending on length of the visit and whether the purpose of the visit consisted only of medication management or I also provided psychotherapy in addition to med management. The latter is more expensive. Fees for followup visits range from $75 for a brief (10min or less) med management visit without any therapy, up to $330 for a med management visit with therapy that lasts between 45min and 55min. If a return visit goes over 55min, either in direct face-to-face time or if I end up spending additional time (on the day of the appointment) on business related to the appointment (for example, collecting additional information from family or other providers), then I charge $75 for each additional 15min spent
Follow this link: https://app2.luminello.com/gregorysidellmd/form, to obtain the initial screening questionnaire that I will need you to complete in order for me to be able to decide if I can take you on as a patient. If I have accepted you as a patient, I will send you an email inviting you to create your chart in the Electronic Medical Record that I use, which is called Luminello, and then after you have done that we will schedule a visit appointment.
