About NHS

The National Honor Society is a nationwide society that rewards and highlights strong academic achievement and community service. Criteria for membership in the society is based on four factors; Scholarship, Leadership, Service, and Character.

At GMC these four criteria are seen through the following NHS expectations:

• • Maintaining a 4.500 GPA

  • Paying $21 dues each year

  • Regular participation at events in order to complete 10 service points each year of membership.

  • Maintaining a positive behavior record.

Students who do not carry out or maintain the requirements for each year of membership may be dismissed from the GMC NHS chapter after receiving warnings and notifications from advisors.
