Welcome

Hello!  I am so excited to work with my students and their parents this year.  My Google Classroom will be your best resource for accessing daily agendas, the Google Calendar, the syllabus, homework assignments, extra credit opportunities, retake opportunities, texts, study guides, upcoming assessments, etc.

Bio

I teach English II Advanced, Service Learning, and Teacher Cadet.  I have a Bachelor of Arts in English from Clemson University and a Master of Education from Converse College, and I am Gifted and Talented certified.  This is my 25th year in education and my 13th year at GMC.  I am passionate about teaching and learning from my students.

Beyond the classroom, I am married to my husband, Hagen, and we have three sons: Paul, Thomas, and Nash. My oldest son, Paul, is a 2023 graduate of GMC. Thomas graduated from Eastside in 2026 and is currently at Hargrave Military Academy, and Nash is a sophomore at Eastside High.  In my free time, I love spending time with family and friends, riding my Harley while listening to my favorite playlists, traveling the world to explore new cultures, and pampering my four dogs.
