Welcome

Hello!  I am so excited to work with my students and their parents this year.  My Google Classroom will be your best resource for accessing daily agendas, the Google calendar, homework assignments, extra credit opportunities, retake opportunities, texts, study guides, upcoming assessments, etc.

Bio

I teach English II Advanced, Freshman Success, Service Learning, and Teacher Cadet.  I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Clemson University and a Master of Education from Converse College, and I am Gifted and Talented certified.  This is my 25th year in education and my 13th year at GMC.  I am passionate about teaching and working with young people.

In addition to being a teacher, I have been married for 24 years to my husband, Hagen, and we have 3 sons, Paul, Thomas, and Nash.  My oldest son, Paul, is a 2023 graduate of GMC. I love to spend time with family and friends, travel the world and explore other cultures, and pamper my four dogs.
