My name is Layne Kirkland and I have been at GMC in some capacity since 2018. I am currently teaching Intro to Programming, AP Computer Science Principles, AP Computer Science A (java), and I am the yearbook advisor. I hold my Masters in Science and my Bachelors in Education. I have twenty-four year old identical twins who are now in the working world themselves as my oldest, Carter, is an accountant at a firm downtown and my youngest, Anderson, teaches freshman English at Wade Hampton High School. My husband and I enjoy watching sports of all kinds, playing with our English Bulldog, Winnie, and traveling. This is my twenty fifth year teaching and I look forward to making it the best year yet!
