About Me

Welcome to my website! I am so excited for a wonderful year!

I am one of the special education teachers here at GMC. I am originally from Swansea, MA, which is located about 45 minutes south of Boston. I graduated from Bridgewater State University with a Bachelors degree in Secondary Education and English. Later I earned my certificate in Special Education for 5th-12th grade and decided this was my true passion.

I started teaching in 2016 in an inner city middle school in Fall River, MA and absolutely fell in love with teaching. I spent two years there before moving to South Carolina in 2018 with my boyfriend and starting a new chapter of my life. I began teaching at Riverside High School as a special education teacher. Though I loved it I missed the small school setting. Last year I arrived at GMC and quickly realized that I would be here for a long time. The passion, small school setting, and supporting environment at GMC is unlike any other school I have been at.

I live in Marietta, SC with my boyfriend Django, our two dogs, and cat. We enjoy hiking, hanging out at the lake, and exploring new cities and towns in SC.
