Week of 3/9
>> Trimester 2 report cards will be sent home on Wednesday, 3/11.
>> There will be noon dismissal for students on Thursday, 3/12 and Friday, 3/13 due to parent/teacher conferences. Please send in a snack with your child on Thursday and Friday. No lunch is needed unless your child attends aftercare.
>> Our specials schedule for trimester 3 (starting tomorrow, 3/9) is as follows:

Here is what we will be learning this week!
>> Math - We will continue Chapter 8: Length in Customary Units in GO Math. Students will measure the lengths of objects to the nearest inch using an inch ruler, solve addition and subtraction problems involving the lengths of objects by using the strategy draw a diagram, and measure the lengths of objects in both inches and feet to explore the inverse relationship between size and number of units.
>> ELA - This week we will begin Journey's Unit 5 - Changes, Changes, Everywhere. We will complete Lesson 21: Animal Development.
> Anchor Text: Penguin Chick (Narrative Nonfiction)
> Spelling Pattern: Words with er, ir + ur
> Comprehension Skill: Main Ideas + Details, Cause + Effect
> Writing: Informative Writing - Problem-Solution Paragraph
>> Science & Social Studies - In Science with Mrs. Dahms students will learn about rapid and slow changes to the Earth's surface. In Social Studies students will determine and explain Helen Keller’s role in history.
