WELCOME TO OUR DEPARTMENT
Welcome Wildcats to WMS Counseling Department! We're excited you're here and we can't wait to assist you with your needs. Our team is comprised of four amazing counselors, Gayna Smith 6th Grade (Teams 6.1 & 6.2), Sharon Smith 6th Grade (Team 6.3), Madison Williams 7th grade, and Chad McGee 8th grade. We also have a wonderful intern from Clemson University, Lorissa Coreas joining us for the fall semester. Each counselor's information and website are linked below.
Our role is to provide support for students academic, emotional, and social well-being. We work one-on-one with students experiencing personal problems as well as on a larger scale to educate students about drug abuse, bullying or other significant issues middle schoolers face. Additionally, we work with administrators, teachers, and parents to develop a comfortable, healthy school environment. We have great sources of information including social emotional, college and career readiness, and general and parent resources throughout our site. Feel free to explore.
Please feel free to reach out at any time. We love our Wildcat community and we're looking forward to a great 2024-2025 academic school year!
