All About Me

I was born in Memphis, TN but my family eventually settled down in Huntsville, AL which is where I call home. Both my parents are educators; my dad is a school administrator and my mom was a teacher but eventually ended up specializing in the Orton-Gillingham method of teaching students with dyslexia. I started college majoring in Humanities but switched to Communication Sciences and Disorders at the beginning of my sophomore year. I graduated from Bob Jones University with a B.S. in Communication Disorders and eventually went on to attend Alabama A&M where I earned an M.S. in Communicative Sciences and Disorders. I worked in a variety of settings during grad school including elementary schools, skilled nursing facilities, A&M university clinic, and a neuro clinc. During the 2014-2015 school year, I worked for Onslow County schools in Jacksonville, NC then decided to move to Greenville to be closer to friends and family. I have loved seeing my students reach their speech goals, become more confident communicators, and learn how they can help their peers. Let's make this school year the best yet!
