I am "new" to the beautiful state of South Carolina. Our family moved here at the end of July 2019 from the suburbs of Chicago Illinois. My husband Kevin and I have three children. Our oldest Zack is married. He and his wife, Melissa are Environmental and Mechanical engineers working in Idaho. Our middle child Alina, a is an Occupational Therapist in Greenville. Matthias, is a special needs young man who lives at home with us.

Our family enjoys the outdoors. Fishing and hiking are a big part of our lives. We love visiting National Parks and historic places.

I am a graduate of the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana (that is a big ten school in the middle of the state). I started my career working at the home office of a large corporation in Human Resources Training and Development. I designed and implemented classes for employees. I worked with a wonderful team of people. We were in charge of new manager training, new employee orientation, customer service, team building, diversity training and more. I also volunteered with at risk youth. It was through this experience that I fell in love with teaching middle schoolers! After my youngest started school I went back to college and got a second Masters degree. This time in Education from Roosevelt University in Chicago.
