All About Me

This is my ninth year teaching at Mauldin Elementary and I love being here! I have taught for many years in many different states. I began my teaching career in Florida at a private school.  I moved to Georgia and taught in the public school system for four years. My next move took me to North Carolina where I taught for eight years. I then returned to Georgia and taught for an additional 22 years. I was born and raised in South Carolina so I am happy to be back in my home state! Mauldin Elementary is a wonderful school with dynamic teachers and great students.

My years of experience have included being a regular classroom teacher, a trained Reading Recovery teacher, and a trained literacy coach. I obtained my doctorate degree in Teacher Leadership in 2011. I have enjoyed each aspect of my educational career and I have realized how important it is to be a life-long learner.

I look forward to working with students and teachers enriching their lives with quality educational opportunities!
