Class Rules/Behavior Expectations:

1. Be on time, in your seat, and prepared for class daily. Tardy passes are required after the bell has rung. Students are required to knock on the door and present a tardy pass to the teacher to enter after the bell has rung. 

2. Cell Phones, Personal Wireless EarPods, Game Devices, Ipads/Tablets, music players,or personal Laptops from home are not allowed inside any class at Greenville County Schools (district policy) . These devices must be placed in backpacks and turned off before entering the classroom. They are not allowed to be in pockets or on desks inside other purses or bags. Noncompliance will result in calls home to parents and referrals. 

3. Your Chromebook should be charged and brought to class daily. Extra chargers are not provided by teachers and are student responsibility. Lost chargers must be purchased in the Chromebook support room.

4. Turn in assignments on time. Missing assignments result in student and parent conferences. 

5. Follow Greenville County Schools Rules and Safety procedures at all times! Check the Student Handbook if you are not sure: Student Handbook. The Student Handbook is available for Parents and students to read and understand detailed information regarding all rules for students in Greenville County, State Laws, referrals, suspensions, attendance, dresscode, parking rules, ID badge rules, etc. 

6. Students must remain in the classroom until the bell rings or be excused by the teacher only. Opening the door, standing in the hallway or doorway, or blocking the doorway is not permitted and is not safe for other students. Leaving class without permission results in a referral.

7. Students are not allowed to touch or take other student’s chromebooks or chargers. Lost or damaged items are the responsibility of the student and parent.

8. Sit in your assigned seat your teacher has given you - no exceptions. Assigned seats are due to student need and IEP accommodation requirements. 

9. Treat others the way you would like to be treated with respect and courtesy. Ms. Reid has no tolerance for bullying and disrespect.

10. Smart Hall passes are required at all times for the bathroom, water, nurse, counseling, and attendance office. Students must ask for permission from their teachers to leave class at any time, and not during instruction. Bathroom breaks are not permitted during the first and last 10 minutes of class. 

11. NEW! AI tools such as Gemini / ChatGPT are not allowed to be used in the classroom.

I have a Masters Degree in Special Education, and a Bachelors Degree in Computer Information Systems.  At home, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my dogs.
