I’m Ms. Velasco! This year, I’ve stepped into the role of Special Education teacher at Greer Middle School, and it feels like such a meaningful next chapter in my journey as an educator.

I began my career teaching English, but it didn’t take long before I realized where my heart truly belonged. Supporting students in Special Education became my calling, and that realization inspired me to pursue my Master’s Degree in Special Education at the University of Nueva Caceres. That experience shaped not only my teaching but also my belief in the power of inclusion and equity in the classroom.

For me, teaching goes beyond academics. It’s about creating a space where every student feels seen, respected, and capable of success. I’ve witnessed the incredible growth that happens when students are given the right tools, encouragement, and opportunities to shine, and that’s the commitment I bring with me to Greer Middle School every day.
