About Me

Hi! My name is Tyler Hamilton (Mr. Hamilton to most!)

This is my first year teaching at Carolina High School and Academy. I am really excited to be a part of the community and play a role in helping build a great foundation for the future.

Originally I am from all over the place! I was born in Natchez, Mississippi but have lived in: Seneca, SC; Memphis, TN; Jackson, TN; Knoxville, TN; Chattanooga, TN; Winston-Salem, NC; Oak Ridge, TN; and Columbia, SC. I have lived in Simpsonville, SC since 2020. Throughtout my life I have been to 10 different schools between Kindergarten to High School, and 2 colleges.

I graduated from Central High School in Chattanooga, TN in 2007. I started college at Midlands Technical College in 2012 until transferring to the University of South Carolina-Columbia and graduating in 2017 with a Bachelor's of Arts in History with a minor in Education. 

I have held many different jobs from food, to retail, to sales, and happy to be pursuing my dream as an educator.

• I travel often and attend a lot of concerts.

• I enjoy playing video games during downtime. 

• I am married (married 10/16/2022)

• Favorite Book: The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas

• Favorite Movie: The Prestige

I am excited to get the year started and get to know everyone.
