All About Me

I am so excited about being your child's Kindergarten teacher this year and being here at Bell's Crossing.  I hope you and your child are looking forward to many new and exciting adventures in Kindergarten.

This will be my 25th year of teaching.  Five of those years were in Spartanburg County District V.  I taught Kindergarten and second grade while I was there.  Then I took a few years off after my son was born.  I came back and supervised student teachers for USC Upstate here in Greenville County for two years.  This will be my 18th year at Bell’s Crossing teaching Kindergarten.  I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Georgia.  I earned my Teaching Certificate in Early Childhood Education at Brenau University in Gainesville, GA and I have a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina-Spartanburg.

I'm originally from Georgia, but I have lived here in the Upstate for many years now.  My son Will is a Senior at the University of South Carolina and will be graduating in December.  I love to read, spend time with my family and friends and watch Georgia Bulldog football.  I also love dogs and so does my son. I have Koda who he rescued during COVID and ha has a puppy named Odyseuss. They are both sweet dogs!

Judy Stroud is my assistant.  She has worked for the school district many years and loves to work with children.  This will be her 23rd year at Bell's Crossing.  Judy is married and has three grown children, four granddaughters, three grandsons, a great granddaughter and a great grandson.  She also loves to dance, ride horses and is a huge Clemson fan.

I am looking forward to teaching your child this school year.  If you should have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at school at 355-3857 or by email at ttpatter@greenville.k12.sc.us.  Thank you in advance for your support and I look forward to a great year!
