Meet the Teacher

Hello! My name is Tricia Johnson, and I look forward to getting to know you better! We have lived in Greer since 2007 and we are grateful to have found such a welcoming community. My husband and I have been married for 23 years! Mark and I have two sons. Miles is a senior at Winthrop University and Dylan is a freshman at Clemson University. Keller, our Golden Retriever, has been with us for twelve years. Our newest edition, Dabo Squeaky, pounces and purrs and prowls the backyard.

This is my twelfth year in education. I received my Master of Arts in Teaching from USC in 2007. I taught 1st and 3rd grade for five years. I then subbed within the district for four years as I attended to my family. This is my fourth year back teaching full-time, and I LOVE teaching at CCE!

Prior to teaching, I stayed home with my boys while living in Sumter, SC. Mark and I moved to his hometown after we served in the United States Army. We met at Fort Lewis, Washington. It is just gorgeous out there! Mark was an Army Ranger and I was a Preventive Medicine Specialist. After earning my B.A. at the University of Mount Union in Alliance, Ohio, I wanted an adventure! I researched and then educated soldiers on health and safety issues locally and abroad.

My hobbies include making DIY natural health and beauty products, blogging, reading in my recliner with a strong cup of coffee or chai tea, and learning about essential oils.
