Teaching is an absolute passion of mine! I am so excited to work with you and your child. It's going to be a year full of fun, learning and lots of adventures and I can't wait to see what the year has in store for us! I thought you might like to know a little about me.

I am married to my wonderful husband Maurice. We have 4 kids. Taliyah  22,  is in her 3 year of owning her own hair salon. Kennedy 20, is in her junior year of college at Winthrop University, Maurice Jr. 18,  has entered into his first year at Greenville Tech, and my little one who brings up the rear, Mckenzie 15, is in the 10th grade. They take up most of my free time, but some hobbies that I do get to enjoy are traveling and shopping.

I was born in Boston, Mass, but spent my grade school years in Charleston, South Carolina. I just relocated back to South Carolina 5 years ago after spending 13 years teaching in Florida. I graduated from the very prestigious Claflin University, with my B.S. in Elementary Education in 1998. I received my Masters in the Art of teaching from Webster University in 2007.

This will be my 6th year teaching at Thomas E. Kerns, but my 18th year in the teaching profession. It is my mission to instill a love of learning in my students.  I attempt to teach with a passion, so that my students develop a desire to become life-long learners.
