Athletes of the Week
Parents and Guardians,
In light of recent events at athletic venues across the country, Greenville County Schools has updated its safety requirements for athletic events, effective immediately.
For all Greenville County Schools athletic events, the following requirements are in place to ensure the safety of all attendees:
Middle school students and younger must be accompanied by an adult 19 years old or older to every athletic event
High school students must have a school-issued ID to enter an athletic event alone; otherwise, they must be accompanied by an adult 19 years old or older
No loitering in any area; all fans need to sit in the home or visitor stands during the event
Not following any of the rules outlined above will result in removal from the event without a refund
As a reminder, there is a clear bag policy for GCS events.
In addition, Riverside High School does not allow any outside food or drink into the stadium.
Thank you for your cooperation and help to ensure the safety of all attendees.

Where are our Carolina fans?? Clemson has taken a lead over Carolina in our Battle of the Bins donation drive for homeless veterans. With only this week left of collections, we need our Carolina fans to step up and close that gap! Does your student need last minute service hours for a society or club? Or want to get a headstart on next semester’s hours? PTSA will sign off on 1 service hour in exchange for $5 or $10 in donations, depending on the club or society. Monetary, furniture and household item donations can be dropped in the appropriate "bin” by 8:30am each morning in the T-Mall. We also accept Venmo and MySchoolBucks donations. Check out the RHS PTSA website for details on what items are needed. And don’t forget to join us this Friday night, December 8th for our home basketball game against Mauldin where we will reveal the winner of the Battle of the Bins. Thank your for your support!

Also, stop by the media center to submit your guess to win some "lumps of coal" (Tootsie Rolls) and "boughs of holly" (M&Ms). Best of all, chipwiches are back, for this week only! LEO Santa - Mrs. May and Mrs. Wald have teamed up this year to support and collect toys for LEO Santa. There will be a donation box sitting at the doors of the F hall through the month of November. Please consider donating to support local community children in need this Holiday season. Each year Law Enforcement Officers from across the Upstate set out to collect toys from members of our community at participating toy donation sites to give to local children in low income areas. LEO Santa is a local “toy drive” conducted by off-duty Law Enforcement Officers who fill their patrol cars with toys and gifts donated by the community for kids in our local area each Christmas! All toys stay local to our community.
BSU Club - The BSU Club has extended the Canned Food Drive and will continue collecting canned goods and/or non-perishable items for the Pleasant Valley Connection. If you need service hours for your club, and would like to donate to the cause drop donations off in H117 (Brewster). The last day to drop off donations is December 15. 3 items donated = 1 service hour
French Honor Society - Students who have completed French 2 are eligible to join the French Honor Society if they have maintained an A in French class (at least 3 consecutive quarters of an A with a current A average). Pay French Honor Society dues on MySchoolBucks from 11/14-12/14. New members: $10. Returning members: $3. See Mrs. McFall with questions.
