RHS Student-Athletes Excel During Special Olympics
Special Olympics - Congratulations to the Riverside High School Special Olympics Team as it competed at the annual Special Olympic Games Wednesday at Furman University.
Solar Eclipse Brings E-Learning Day
Monday, April 8, will be an eLearning day for Greenville County Schools students due to the solar eclipse. The eclipse window, when there is the greatest potential for students to damage their vision, coincides with school dismissal times. With student safety being the top priority, this was the best option across all levels. There will be no extended-day programs or after-school club meetings. Any outdoor activities or athletic practices will begin after 4:00 p.m.
All students returning to Riverside High School for the 2024-2025 school year received their course request letters in Advisory today. Students and parents should sign these letters and return them to 2nd block teachers by Wednesday, April 10th. Any student that would like to request a change to their course requests must contact their school counselor via email before Wednesday, April 10th at 3:45 pm. No course request changes will be accepted after this deadline, including parent overrides. Any student that does not have a 2nd block class at Riverside can return their course request letter to the School Counseling office.
May Calendar - Please see the attached calendar for May. It includes all testing, exams and material return dates. Please plan accordingly as students must take their exams on the assigned dates.
2024 Graduation! The Riverside High School Class of 2024 will graduate at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 23 at Bon Secours Wellness Arena. Please see the attached information regarding graduation information.

Parents and Guardians,
In light of recent events at athletic venues across the country, Greenville County Schools has updated its safety requirements for athletic events, effective immediately.
For all Greenville County Schools athletic events, the following requirements are in place to ensure the safety of all attendees:
Middle school students and younger must be accompanied by an adult 19 years old or older to every athletic event
High school students must have a school-issued ID to enter an athletic event alone; otherwise, they must be accompanied by an adult 19 years old or older
No loitering in any area; all fans need to sit in the home or visitor stands during the event
Not following any of the rules outlined above will result in removal from the event without a refund
As a reminder, there is a clear bag policy for GCS events.
In addition, Riverside High School does not allow any outside food or drink into the stadium.
Thank you for your cooperation and help to ensure the safety of all attendees.
