About Me

Welcome to Oakview! I am very excited to get to work with students and staff as they integrate technology into their lessons. I am a graduate of Clemson University with a degree in elementary education. I also have a Master's of Education with a focus on literacy. I taught both 4th and 5th grade at Brushy Creek Elementary before joining the Oakview team. I was a member of the inaugural Digital Leadership Corp team and was able to both lead professional development and coach staff members while in that role.

I have FOUR children! Hannah graduated from Clemson (go Tigers!) and is working in Greenville, Knox is in nursing school at USC Upstate, Katy is in her psychology graduate program at Winthrop, and Macon has begun his freshman year at the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). AND, my husband David teaches and coaches at Wade Hampton so between us we represent several different schools. In September 2020, we also added our first grandchild to the family!

You can find us at most high school sporting events but on Saturdays we are cheering on our favorite college football team! When we aren't there, we enjoy hanging out at home playing games or watching movies. Dinners at home can get loud and crazy but I wouldn't have it any other way!
