Hi! My name is Samantha Slover and I am so excited to be at GMA for my fifth year! 

I graduated from the University of South Carolina in May 2021 with my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education, certified grades 2-6. Throughout my time at USC, I worked at the South Carolina State Museum as the Lead Educator where I explored different aspects of science and informal education everyday. In Spring 2023, I was awarded as the Educator to Watch from the South Carolina Association of Middle Level Education as well as being named GMA's 2024-2025 Teacher of the year. I am truly grateful for the recognitions.

I grew up in New Jersey but moved to South Carolina in 2017 to finish college. I enjoy spending time with my parents, my friends, my cats - Atlas and TC and exploring this awesome city.  Some fun facts about me: I had blue hair in college, I've been to every One Direction and Harry Styles tour and I love to travel (I've been to some cool places like Australia)!

I am partnered with Robin LaRosa on the half team! I teach Math and Science and your student will have Mrs. LaRosa for ELA and Social Studies. I love being on the half team, as it allows me to build awesome relationships with students. I also love teaching two different subjects!
