Dear Parents and Families,

My name is Sandra Casanova, and I am excited to be your child’s Spanish teacher this school year! This is my second year at Tanglewood Middle School, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue working with our wonderful students and families.

I have more than 20 years of experience working with children and families in different areas of education. Teaching is truly my passion, and I love creating a positive, welcoming classroom where students feel comfortable learning, growing, and discovering the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures. I am married, and my husband and I are proud parents of four amazing children.

I am looking forward to getting to know your child and making this a successful, meaningful, and fun year of learning. I believe that strong communication between school and home is an important part of student success, and I look forward to partnering with you throughout the year.
