All About Mrs. Jones

Hi! My name is Sarah Jones (Upshaw)! I am so excited to be a part a part of the family here at Fountain Inn Elementary School!  Most importantly, I am thrilled to be your teacher! It’s going to be a great year filled with new friends, new adventures, and new discoveries! I can’t wait to learn all about you but first I am going to tell you a little about me. 

     I was born and raised in Greenville, S.C. I have a younger sister, Jessica, and we are 13 months apart! I lived in Columbia, S.C. for 4 years while attending college at The University of South Carolina (GO GAMECOCKS!!). In 2012 I graduated and  moved to Florence, S.C. where I taught First Grade for two years. I then moved to Charleston, S.C. and taught First Grade for three years. I moved back home and this will be my 14th year teaching First Grade! 

    I have a son, Kingston, who is 34years old. I am also excited to announce that I was married in April of 2022!  I have a dog, Gucci, who just turned 13. He is a Yorkshire Terrier and is super sweet. His favorite activities are barking, eating, and sleeping.

 A few of my favorite things are listed below! I look forward to a great year with you!! My words for this year are GRACE and PATIENCE! We will have to work with one another in order to have a successful year! I know it will be wonderful.
