Hello and welcome to Sue Cleveland Elementary's School Mental Health Services! My name is Tamiah Anderson, and I am a Licensed Independent Social Worker - Clinical Practice (LISW-CP). I have experience treating anxiety, school-avoidance, ADHD, depression, trauma, and a variety of other concerns. I attended Greenville County Schools as a student myself and after graduating from the University of South Carolina with my Bachelors (2021) and Masters of Social Work (2022), there was no doubt in my mind that I would return to Greenville to serve my community as Mental Health Counselor. This will be my third school year as an elementary school-based mental health counselor, but my first year at Sue Cleveland. I am so excited to build relationships with and offer support to students, families and faculty/staff at Sue Cleveland. My goal is to empathetically approach each student with a strengths-based perspective and to empower families by assisting them with identifying the tools needed to navigate through life.
Some of my favorite things to do include spending time with friends and family, hiking, trying new restaurants, traveling and learning new ways to assist students! I love listening to music, enjoying outside and reading a great book or binge watching a new Netflix series. I am so excited to work with you and your family!
