Hi, I'm Ms. Strickland!

I’m the new dance teacher at Stone Academy and will be teaching 2nd–5th grade, as well as working with the Northern ARMES site!

I’m new to the Greenville area, but originally from Rock Hill, South Carolina. I began dancing at age 3 at Just Dancin' Dance Studio and started competing at 7 with Step South Dance. I continued my training at the University of South Carolina (Columbia), where I earned my B.A. in Dance with a concentration in education and a K–12 teaching certification.

Before joining Greenville County Schools, I taught Theatre and Dance at Carvers Bay Middle School in Georgetown County, where I was honored to be named Rookie Teacher of the Year for 2024–25. This is my first year in Greenville County Schools and my second year of teaching overall, and I’m so excited to be part of the Stone family!
