I am thrilled to be teaching Chemistry at Wade Hampton High School this year! I am married to my high school sweetheart and we just celebrated 28 years of marriage this summer. I graduated from Clemson University with a BS in Science Teaching in 1996. After graduating, I taught Chemistry, Physics and Physical Science at Walhalla High School and Belton-Honea Path High School. I then had the privilege to stay home with our three children for 13 years. I jumped at the chance to entire back into the teaching profession 10 years ago at Sevier Middle! I was able to teach 8th Grade Science there for 8 years as all three of my children attended. This is my community and I love the people here! My daughter (currently a senior Clemson) and oldest son (a junior at the University of Utah) both graduated from Wade Hampton High School. My youngest son is a senior at Wade Hampton. We also have two other family members, Teal & Frankie. Teal is a 5-year-old Golden Retriever and still full of energy! Our other dog, Frankie (who is 12 years old), is quite set in his ways and grumpy. If you can't tell, I also really love all things Clemson! My husband is also a Clemson grad. I guess you can say it is in our blood! When I am not teaching or at a Clemson event, I love to run (just completed my 22nd marathon), snow ski, wake surf and travel. In the last few years, I have visited Italy, France, Monaco, Costa Rica, Kenya, Canada, Mexico and many islands of the Caribbean. I love learning about other cultures and traveling is one of the best ways to do that!
