AP Computer Science Principles
Fundamentals of Web Design & Development
Note: All of the computing courses use CodeHS as the primary curriculum. Our pacing guides will vary from the syllabi provided by CodeHS as our classes are asynchronous and the curriculum has been adapted to fit our program for student success.
Middle and high school students who wish to take one or two extra online classes to supplement their schedule at the GCS school in which they are enrolled may apply to register in GCVSP courses through their school counselor.

Quick Facts!
Classes are embedded in the student's regular schedule at their home school or they can be taken outside the school day
Applications are made through the School Counselor where the student is enrolled
Every online class has a published start and end date, and classes are not self-paced; they are asynchronous and deadline driven.
Students enrolled in GCVSP receive their assignments for the week usually on Monday morning and all are due by the end of the week letting the student manage their work load and time
Daily attendance is not usually taken unless students are participating in an embedded class within a school computer lab with a facilitator
Teachers work as adjunct GCVSP virtual teachers and ALSO teach live classes at regular brick/mortar GCS schools. Therefore, most of the communication between GCVSP students and their teachers is outside the school day (GCVSP teachers do have regular dedicated office hours)
Students enrolled in GCVSP technically "belong" to their home school; GCVSP does not have principals or counselors
Fall, Spring, and Summer terms are offered to students
