Hello and welcome!

My name is Mandi Starling, and I’m so excited to be your child’s 3rd grade teacher this year at Ellen Woodside Elementary!

I’ve been part of the Ellen Woodside family for a combined total of five years—three of those as a paraprofessional and now entering my third year as a classroom teacher. These experiences have given me a deep love for working with students and helping them grow in confidence, character, and ability.

I’m a proud member of our community and a graduate of Woodmont High School, Class of 2007. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from Liberty University in 2023.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading, vacationing, and cheering on my children at their sporting events. I’m also a cheer coach for the Woodmont Youth Association, where I have the privilege of mentoring young athletes and helping them build confidence, teamwork, and school spirit. I have two wonderful children, Levi (9) and Savannah (8). Family is everything to me, and I strive to bring that same sense of care, encouragement, and connection into my classroom each day.

I believe every child can succeed when they feel supported, challenged, and valued. My goal is to create a classroom where students feel safe to take risks, celebrate their successes, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

I’m looking forward to a year filled with learning, laughter, growth, and unforgettable memories. Let’s make it a fantastic year together!
