Abigail Schiferl currently serves as a middle school Gateway to Technology teachers that teaches technology with a variety of tools in her 1:1 classroom. She works at Mauldin Middle School in the Greenville County Schools in Greenville, South Carolina. She has been in education for 15 years. She is Google Certified Level One & Two, Flipgrid Ambassador, Quizlet Ambassador, EDpuzzle Educator, BrainPOP Certified Educator, a Discovery Educator Network Star and on the Discovery Educator Network Leadership Council. She has a passion for using technology in the classrooms, learning new tools and sharing those tools with educators. She has presented at the South Carolina Council of Mathematics Conference, Upstate Technology Conference, South Carolina Association for Middle Level Education Conference, South Carolina Midlands Summit Conference, FETC National Conference, Discovery Education Network Summer Institute, DEN VIrt Conf, #NotAtISTE Virtual Conference, as well as hosting the DEN Ambassador program. Erika Sandstrom is a Digital Media Teacher for grades 6th-8th who is in my 29th year as an educator. She works for the Peabody Public School District in Peabody, Massachusetts and teaches at the Higgins Middle School. She currently serves on the 21st Century District Team. as a Digital Learning Coach for K-5 as well as a Mindfulness District Coordinator. Erika also founded the “Mindful Super Hero Club” @ClubMindful for 6th-8th grade students and is currently launching other clubs for all of K-12. Mindful Super Hero Club members help students to learn, practice and share Mindfulness in a creative way through video production and participate in Green Screen volunteer opportunities at assisted livings and beyond. Additionally, she is a Green Screen and Video Production online professional development presenter for educators, has been featured in several Podcasts, magazines, educational summits, LIVE Instagram streams, and Erika’s Mindfulness enthusiasm is derived from 16 years as a Yoga/Pilates Instructor. Erika was dubbed “Green Screen Gal!” in 2018 and has a dream to teach ALL educators globally the benefit of utilizing Green Screen technology in their schools for all curriculums including Mindfulness and Social Emotional Learning!
Laurie Guyon is the Assistant Coordinator for Model Schools at Washington-Saratoga-Warren-Hamilton-Essex BOCES in Saratoga Springs, New York. In this role, she provides professional learning workshops, coaching, and training on technology integration. She also provides online training with NYSCATE and is a member of the NYSCATE Social Media Team. Laurie was inducted into the Volunteer Hall of Fame for NYSCATE in 2017. Laurie was named CoSN's Emerging Edtech Leader for 2020. She is a Common Sense Ambassador, Google for Education Certified Educator, level 1 and 2, and a Google Certified Trainer. She is a Buncee Ambassador and Leader, Seesaw Ambassador and Pioneer, Nearpod Educator and PioNear, Flipgrid Ambassador, Sphero Hero, Wonder Squad Ambassador, Tynker Blue Ribbon Educator, Amazon Inspire Innovator, Apple Teacher, BreakoutEDU Authorized Trainer, Alpha Squirrel, Wakelet Ambassador, 3D Bear Ambassador, Osmo Ambassador, Kami Hero, and a Screencastify Master Screencaster. She taught workshops at Skidmore College on integrating technology in literacy. She has taught online webinars with the Greater Capital Region Teacher Center. Laurie received her BA, MST, SBL, and SDL through SUNY Plattsburgh. She is an adjunct professor for Plattsburgh where she teaches Digital Age Learning. She has presented at NERIC TechADay, NYSCATE, LIT, FETC, Apple Conference, Google Summits, NYSMSA, and ISTE.
Lisa is an Elementary School teacher in Oakville, Ontario, Canada who works for the Halton Catholic District School Board. She has had the pleasure to teach students from K-12, with a keen focus on the Junior grades. She is a member of FIRST Canada where she has coached several of her Robotics teams in various Lego Robotic Challenges using the EV3. Lisa has a passion for anything technological and will always integrate it into her lessons, creating excitement for students and higher order learning skills. She is savy with different learning platforms such as D2L/LMS, O365, Gizmo's and Flipgrid, where her students have learned to adapt quickly to a world in which technology is increasingly more important. Lisa has also been a Math Lead for many years, where she was responsible to teach important strategies to staff so that they could teach their students fun strategies using different key resources. She loves to integrate STEAM into the subjects that she teaches, and focus on a well rounded educational experience for her students. Lisa has found that the AR experience, and working with different educators around our globe, has inspired her to continue her quest to add AR into students everyday lives and to continue enriching them with a wealth of opportunities for their future.
