About Me

Welcome to my class!  My name is Steven Strumila (Strum-el-la) and I am thrilled to be a Bryson Bear!

I am originally from Erie, PA, but currently live in Mauldin with my wife Jessica and our Jack Russell named Kensley.  This is my second year teaching after being a full-time sub at Fisher Middle School.  I have a Master's degree in Sport Administration from The University of Akron.  In my life before being a teacher, I managed an energy consultation company, worked in adult and pediatric home health, and I was in the United States Air Force for six years from 2001-2007 serving two tours in Iraq doing convoys.

When I am not teaching, you can usually find me on the golf course or trying some of the amazing food around Greenville.  Being from Western PA, I follow all professional Pittsburgh sports (Steelers, Pirates, Penguins) and I go to a Penn State football game every year.  

I could not be more excited to be at Bryson teaching.  Every day is a gift and I am going to do my best to make learning fun.  I love learning new things and helping people.  I am looking forward to helping everyone be the best they can be.
