In addition to learning valuable and challenging math skills this year, your child will be building the necessary skills to become a successful middle school student as well as a responsible citizen. I feel privileged to be a key component in this process, and would love to be in frequent contact with you about the progress and success of your child. Please feel free to contact me at any time through out the year!

Simple ways to help your child succeed in middle school:

I am very excited to work with each of you and your students. As your child embarks on his/her first year of middle school, it is important to keep in mind just how much he/she still depends on you for help and support (even if he/she doesn’t want to admit it!). Your child will most likely have a very busy life, but academically and socially this year, and it is imperative that he/she is held accountable for quality work and organization. Here are some easy ways to help them through middle school!

• Motivation is key! Help them stay motivated to learn throughout the year.

• After homework time, Study each subject a few minutes each night to review facts!

• Encourage them to participate and ask questions in class.

• Discuss with them what they are learning and how they might apply it outside of the classroom.

I know that working together we can make this a fantastic year at Rudolph Gordon! Thank you for your hard work and commitment to your children!
