About Mrs. Duncan

My name is Stephanie Duncan, and I am thrilled to be a Resource teacher at Thomas E. Kerns Elementary School.  This will be my 2nd year at Thomas E. Kerns.  As required by the Greenville County School District, I am a highly qualified teacher.  I have a Bachelor’s of Education degree in Special Education and a Master’s Degree of Education in School Leadership.  My areas of certification are:  Regular Elementary Education, Elementary Supervisor, Elementary Principal, Generic Special Education, Learning Disabilities, Educable Mental Disabilities, and Trainable Mental Disabilities.  I have been in education for over 23 years.

I have taught in various special education settings (self-contained & resource) for over 13 years and then in a regular education 5th grade class for several years. 

As a Resource teacher, I will be serving students grades 5K - 5th grade who may need additional support in Reading, Writing, Math, and/or Behavior/Social Skills.    

    I have a wonderful family.  My husband, Kevin, is a the director of the freshman academy and girl's Varsity Basketball Coach at Travelers Rest High School.  I also have two awesome sons and 1 beautiful daughter:  Jackson (21 years old), Beckett (17 years old), and Madelynn (12 years old).  We also have a spoiled, rotten dog named Piper.
